Royal Kludge RK84

To be honest, I never really cared much about keyboards—I was perfectly fine using any random wireless one. But eventually, I wanted to enjoy typing more, especially the sound and feel, so I started looking into mechanical keyboards. That’s when I picked up the Royal Kludge RK84 as a budget option about 6 years ago, and it turned out to be one of my favorite choices.

I chose the RK 84 mainly for its compact 75% layout, which makes it portable without losing too much functionality. Despite being a budget keyboard, it has a solid weight that keeps it stable on the desk. It also features a hot-swappable PCB, so I can easily swap switches and customize the typing experience without any soldering. Over the years, it has proven to be reliable and more than enough for my everyday use.
